The American Way © Jean-Christian Rostagni

As surprising as it might seem, this photograph was shot on May 31, 1999, foreshadowing the effects of the neo cons “New American Century Project” in which Dick Cheney, Paul Wolfowitz, Donald Rumsfeld and other “luminaries” participated. The “New American Century Project” is thought to be the real reason for the current war in Iraq.

The fellow in the photograph is Rex Quinn, a professional right wing activist. The first time I saw Rex Quinn was in 1998 in Chapel Hill.
I thought I was bursting into a Saturday Night Live set, as it did not seem that anybody in his right mind would hold signs like that. This photograph was shot in Durham, at Ninth Street and Main.
